Como sinto saudades dos personagens desse livro e suas histórias!
Mais um livro que comprei na Bienal do livro de Juiz de Fora, e o terceiro que se passa em Nova York! A história, da mesma autora de "Sex and the city", é empolgante e traz alguns personagens bem odiosos entre alguns mais simpáticos, moradores de um prédio de prestígio na "big apple".  As vidas retratadas revolvem em sua maioria em torno do dinheiro e, claro, do sexo...  É o embate para estar e ficar em Nova York e conseguir alcançar sonhos grandiosos e muitas vezes megalomaníacos e insanos!  Muito bom!

To toy with somebody (or something) means to not take them or their feelings seriously.

Examples:

Peter has been going out with Mary for five years and he never talks about marriage. He is just toying with her feelings.

I have been working hard to get that promotion but it never comes. My boss is toying with my expectations.

Take note

A 'toyboy' is the younger boyfriend of an older person.

Example:

Janet got divorced after 40 years of marriage and is enjoying her life with a toyboy on her arm.

Factory-made toys, including tin toys and clockwork toys, went on sale in Britain in the 19th century. Other popular toys were alphabet bricks, sailing boats, jigsaw puzzles and Noah's Arks. Esse filme de 2018 é um ótimo programa para relaxar em um dia à toa. A personagem principal, Bea volta à sua cidade natal e fica com sua família por um tempo após ter sido traída por seu namorado... Família, situações improváveis e outras para encarar a vida de frente e com suas dificuldades e alegrias.  Recomendo assistir em espanhol, língua original do longa.
